  "text": "An employee shall cease to be a member upon the occurrence of any of the following circumstances:\n\n(1) He resigns, is dismissed, or is otherwise separated from service.\n\n(2) He withdraws from active service with a retirement allowance granted under the provisions of this Chapter.",
