  "text": "Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 11:1786, 1806, and 1864, or any other law to the contrary, the city of Slidell, at its discretion, is authorized to pay to the system, from its own funds, the employee contributions referenced in R.S. 11:1786, 1806, and 1864 and to take appropriate legal and administrative action to otherwise be in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.",
