  "text": "Persons whose services are compensated on a contractual or fee basis, seasonal or part-time employees in positions which will not permit service of at least six months during a calendar year, elective officials, members of the Council, the medical examiner, those persons electing not to become a member of the system herein provided for as set forth under the provisions of R.S. 11:3034(A)(1), and persons who are members of any existing pension fund maintained by the City, shall not be subject to membership in the system.\n\nDesignated from Acts 1952, No. 184, §5, by Acts 1991, No. 74, §3, eff. June 25, 1991.",
