  "text": "At the end of the period designated in the ordinance the municipality shall proceed to widen the street named therein, and to that end shall acquire by purchase, condemnation or otherwise, the land necessary for the widening, and the owner shall be entitled to such damages as he may be entitled to under the law, where private property is taken for public use.",
